Just as I promised a week ago that I would be back again with some more scrumptious, tempting chocolate cakes, here I am. I told you guys earlier that I am kind of in love with these confections. And this love of mine set me to the task of trying my hand at baking quite a handful of delicious, diabolically sweet, chocolaty and lovely cakes. This blog is going to be all about of them, so hold your breath while I start to unwrap my findings one by one:
Are you being reminded of the lava cakes sold at most confectioneries in Brisbane? Well, this delicacy is even better than them. With a small pool of viscous chocolate trapped in the middle of spongy walls, this gooey-centred cakey goodness is truly a work of art. It can be a perfect bonne bouche to celebrate Valentine’s day or wedding anniversary with.
This one is yet another beautiful and of course, mouthwateringly delicious chocolate cake that you can order for commemorating your day of love with your partner. And it packs in quite a bit of surprise. Cut off a slice and you will notice cute, little hearts of raspberry frosting peeking from its sidewalls. Planning to propose your crush? The wonderful choco-rasp concoction won’t fail you.
Although this enticing confection does not consist of beetroot as one of its ingredients, its appearance surely makes it look like one. Perfect to spoil a kid with, the ‘Beetroot’ features a mass of dark, moist and dense chocolate sponge covered with thick cocoa icing.
Fan of mints as desserts after dinner and in love with chocolate cake too? Then why not give the Andes Mint a chance to mesmerise your taste buds with its choco-minty taste? Oh yes, this spongy pound is infused with perky mint and also buttercream frosting, accompanied by dark chocolate.
How can something about chocolate cakes ever be complete without a confection prepared with white chocolate? Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to the ‘Whiteout’ - a three-layered cake consisting of white Belgian chocolate, warm milk, sugar and dense cream. A pound of pure bliss for your mouth and tummy!
And with that, I will have to wrap it up for now. I hope you have enjoyed this journey laden with some of the best chocolate cakes in the world. Stay tuned to my blog space for more posts.
