More than 2 decades ago, after the suspicious death of their mother in a fire, Dean and Sam were brought up by their father. They were taught how to hunt and be on the lookout for things that go bump in the night. However, when their father went missing while on a hunting trip the two brothers, with nowhere else to go, decided to embark on a never-ending journey to kill supernatural creatures, including demons, ghosts, monsters and fallen gods. Gradually, Sam started developing abstract abilities to have death visions and premonitions. Later, both brothers came to know that their mother was murdered by a demon, who is being tracked by their father for revenge. But before revenge could be sought, their father stroke a deal with the same demon. Feeling abandoned and betrayed, Sam and Dean became determined to end the battle initiated by their dad.
