Corporate Christmas parties are what employees look forward to at the end every year before leaving for the holidays. So you ought to host the much-needed X-mas bash for allowing your staff to have a wonderful time prior to saying goodbye. However, planning a corporate Christmas party is no child’s play, though there are certain tips and tricks that you can follow to organise an indelible one. And in this blog, I am doing to discuss a handful of such tips:
Pick The Date & Time Carefully
When you are choosing the date and time for hosting your corporate Christmas party, consider two things meticulously - availability of venues and schedule of your employees. Remember, you won’t be the only one trying to throw an X-mas bash for your workers, there are plenty of companies who might have already started planning theirs. Also, make sure that you pick the last official working day for hosting the extravaganza.
Get To Know What Your Staff Wants
Create a questionnaire and have your employees fill it up with information about what they wish for the Christmas party to include. Bear in mind that you cannot take everyone’s likes and dislikes into account. Your aim should be to consider the biggest common denominators.
Choose A Theme
Though the obvious theme of your corporate Christmas party will be the festival itself, you can always conjunct it with another unique and fun theme. There are a variety of ideas that you can try, such as winter wonderland, tropical, ugly sweater, and so on.
Decide Your Budget
Determine and plan your budget for the party carefully. First of all, look for vendors who provide quality items at reasonable rates. And rather than appointing different vendors, look for someone who would be able to offer everything. Spend first on food, drinks and music, then include venue, decor and additional expenses.
Arrange Good Food & Drinks
Find a caterer who offers scrumptious and good quality food, but try to keep things simple. Don’t keep overly fancy items in the menu, but include dishes and drinks that you know they would love. And make sure you order a nice corporate cake for the occasion in advance.
Hire Decent Entertainment
Incorporate the type of entertainment that you know your employees would be keen on enjoying. If hiring a band or DJ to perform seems too mainstream, then you can go for other options like a magician, stand-up comedian, acting troupe, etc.
