Who in the world has the power to resist the temptation of a delicious, spongy, chocolate cake with oozing molten cocoa and sleek ganache frosting? Probably no one, even if they try to. I, myself, am a huge fan of chocolate cakes. Now, you probably might have realised what this entire post is going to be about. Yes, different types of soft, yummy and delightful chocolate cakes. So let’s begin without testing your patience any longer:
Devil’s Food Cake
The name of this wonderfully decadent confection speaks volumes about its lovely taste. Featuring the very traditional bonne bouche that we all love, this single tiered scrumptious pound of sweetness is enveloped in a thick layer of creamy and light fudge icing, ready to incite the choco devil inside you.
Guinness Chocolate Cake
No, this delicacy did not derive its name after creating a Guinness World Record, though it surely deserved to make one. Rather, the confection is stuffed with the goodness of whipped cream and malted Guinness, the famous Irish bevvy, and has toppings of cherries & berries. Once the whole spongy mass has been dripped with ganache, you won’t be able to stop yourself from cutting a giant wedge off it.
Alright, before we go into the details of this one, it would be better to understand the justification of its name. Dark cocoa whisky cream, white chocolate dulce de leche, thick milky mocha cream, need I say more? Add to that chocolate shavings, dark choco sizzle and marshmallow frosting. And all of that with the core of Devil’s Food Cake. The name Seven Sins definitely serves it right. The pound looks absolutely gorgeous & very alluring, and tastes like a stuff out of your dreams.
The Best Chocolate Cake
Ideal to make someone special really happy on their birthday, the ‘best’ of the kind combines the titillating tastes of strong coffee and dark chocolate, which is further elevated in its subtlety by ganache frosting. If you need to apologise to a friend or partner, this cake might just do the trick.
So, we have the Devil’s Food Cake, the Guinness, the Seven Sins and the Best. I guess that will be enough for today. If you want to feast your eyes on some more different kinds of chocolate cakes, keep watching my blog space for the next post.
